Web3 + Future of the Entertainment Industry
Challenges and Limitations on Web3
Web3 has the potential to bring revolutionary and innovative changes to entertainment, and its potential is undeniable. However, I believe that the current concepts and principles of Web3 face significant challenges in its implementation.
1. Lack of Real Business
Numerous Web3 projects promote appealing ideologies and concepts, but often lack concrete substance and implementation plans. This poses risks for investors and users, and can undermine the credibility of the entire industry.
2. Poor UI/UX
Applications leveraging Web3 technology often have more complex user interfaces compared to general digital platforms, making them challenging for non-technical users. Specifically, tasks like setting up wallets, conducting cryptocurrency transactions, and interacting with smart contracts are not user-friendly, hindering widespread adoption.
3. Regional Limitations
Blockchain technology inherently has the strength to enable global participation beyond borders. However, many projects are restricted to Japan or specific regions. As a result, the international potential of Web3 is often not fully utilized. To achieve true global participation, adjustments to international regulations, multilingual support, and cross-cultural understanding are essential. Addressing these challenges is a crucial step for Web3 technology to be widely accepted in the entertainment industry. It is hoped that the entire industry will overcome these issues to fully harness the potential of new technologies.
